The list of Fastest improving producers of Greece includes Lyrarakis Wines, as does the Best-Value producers list.

Syrah-Kotsifali 2006 is listed in the best bargains section, with the following comment by Nico Manessis, who contributes the Greek report of the guide:

"Oenologist Myriam Ambuzer and George Lyrarakis are on to something here in central Crete. Broad strokes of Spicy warm fruit, yet silky wine. Brimming with terroir. One of the few Cretan addresses whose methodical approach has started to pay off."
